New features and improvements in this release include:

  • Subsetting and Analysis features:
    • Improvements made to Analysis Results page
    • New option to save Analysis to an R script file
    • New analysis support provided for Zelig 3.2 models
  • Study features:
    • Improvements made to Study File page
    • New Template feature available to create or edit studies
    • Study ID accepts only alphanumeric, dash (-), underscore (_), and period (.) characters
    • Network utility provided to delete a range of studies at one time
  • Search features:
    • New analyzer indexes studies and data to improve search quality and speed
    • Index utilities modified: remove index locks, index update for studies that failed indexing, improved Index All logic
    • Fix made to does not contain logic in Advanced Search
  • Dataverse features:
    • New option to copy code for link or button to a dataverse, for pasting to another web site
    • New option to copy code for searching a dataverse, for pasting to another web site
    • New Template feature for studies available in any dataverse
    • New file restriction option controls contents of entire dataverse
    • Improvements made to My Options and Network Options pages
    • Fix implemented for parent collection assignment in a dataverse
  • New integration with Nesstar to harvest metadata using their API
  • New technical features and improvements:
    • DSB subsetting and analysis component rewritten in Java code and to use RServe
    • UNF logic rewritten in Java code
    • Custom remote authorization allows restricted file access from DVN to DVN and from Roper Center (this implementation does not use Shibboleth)
    • Harvest logic rewritten to determine studies contained in a set
    • Fix implemented when harvesting to OAI sets simultaneously
    • Import/ingest added for DDI category attribute on varFormat tag, and decimalization attribute on var tag
    • DVN Citation added to DDI export (abstract field) and DC export (Description field)
    • Use of Tiles changed to Faceletes framework, to support use of ICEfaces components
    • Index server upgraded to Lucene 2.3
