Installation Checklist

Use the following checklist to plan installation of the DVN. Detailed descriptions of each entry are provided in the next topics:

1. Prepare the system:
   1. Set up the server TCP ports.
   2. Install the required applications and tools: GlassFish, PostgreSQL, R, and Rserve.
   3. Configure GlassFish server.
2. Install the DVN:
   1. Install the DVN application.
   2. Install the DSB services.
3. Set up optional components:
   1. Configure Handle.net to enable use of UNF registration.
   2. Configure Google Analytics to enable use of web statistics.
