Affiliate Access

A dataverse, study, or file can be configured to grant access to restricted contents based on a user group, and that group can be associated with an affiliation service. Your local institution determines whether the affiliation service is available, and the Dataverse admin then can grant permissions in the dataverse based on that affiliation. Contact your local administration to find out if you have affiliation access.

Members of affiliated service can log in to the Dataverse Network and gain access to applicable restricted materials as follows:

  1. On the main menu, click Log in.
    You see the Dataverse Network login page.
  2. In the Affiliate field, use the Affiliation Name pull-down list to select your affiliate service and then click the Log in button.
    You see your local login service page.
  3. Log in to your local service.
    You see the Dataverse Network page from which you logged in.
    You now have access to the materials to which your affiliation grants you permission.
